社團法人臺灣職能治療學會是一群在臺灣的職能治療師成立的學術性團體，本會成立於1982年，目前會員人數約有1,200人，分別服務於學校、醫院、社區、機構等地。
職能治療師服務的對象是各種因病或發展問題，受傷導致日常生活功能受限，參與工作、角色任務所需能力有困難的人，職能治療從活動、環境及人三方面來進行，
首先依據人的能力狀況來調整活動及環境，幫助其盡快參與他想要或需要參與的活動，參與的成就感會帶來更多想做的事情，而有益於健康的提升。
臺灣職能治療學會期望推廣職能治療之在地發展，培育職能治療專業人才，提升學術水準，開發創新服務方案，以發揮參與生活就是健康的精神-協助民眾摒除障礙、失能與限制，充分參與家庭、學校、社區中各種日常職能活動，享受健康的生活。
本會有15位理監事會，成員涵蓋學術與臨床人員，在歷任理事長的帶領下，合力推動各項國內職能治療業務，協助政府制定相關法規與政策推動、代表臺灣參與國際醫療組織與會議，擔負引領專業教育養成，專業服務提升與推廣的角色，充分落實職能參與即健康之精神。
近來，因應台灣高齡化及長照政策，本會更積極與世界職能治療機構合作與交流，取經北歐、日本等社區職能治療模式，開發預防失能，在地老化，友善社區與復能等方案，協助提升民眾健康與生活品質。
About TOTA
The Taiwan Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA) is an academic association established by a group of Taiwan occupational therapists in 1982. Currently TOTA has approximately 1200 members serving in schools, hospitals, communities, organizations, etc.
Occupational therapists serve individuals with limitations in daily life functions and difficulties in participating in work and their roles due to diseases or developmental problems. Occupational therapy interventions focus on activity, environment, and individuals.
It is essential to modify the activities and environment according to a person’s ability and help them participate in an activity they want or need as soon as possible. The sense of achievement will encourage individuals to actively participate in activities and thus promote their health.
The TOTA aims to promote the local development of occupational therapy, foster professionals in occupational therapy, enhance research visibility, and develop new service programs with the belief of helping individuals to participate in daily activities, which is the core of health, thus helping individuals to eliminate hindrances, disabilities, and limitations in their lives. Thus, they can participate in different aspects of daily occupational activities in family, school, and community, and enjoy a healthy life.
The TOTA’s board of directors comprises 15 members, including academic and clinical members. Under the leadership of chairmen, the TOTA promotes occupational therapy services in every aspect, assists the government in formulating relevant regulations and implementing policies, represents Taiwan in international medical organizations and meetings, takes a role in leading the professional education development, enhances and promotes professional services, and implements the spirit of occupational engagement, which is the core of health.
Recently, in response to the aging and long-term care policy in Taiwan, the TOTA has been more active in collaborating and communicating with other occupational therapy organizations across the world. The TOTA learns from Northern European and Japanese community-based occupational therapy and develops programs like disability prevention, aging in place, friendly communities, and reablement to promote the public's health and quality of life.
